  25.      A. What is encouraged and of interest to regular
  26.         participants

  28.         Questions about CAW and about CAW and Pagan events are
  29.  certainly encouraged.  CAW members who use the newsgroup seem to
  30.  enjoy discussing CAW activities, ecology and environmentalism,
  31.  PAGAN philosophical issues involving CAW and relating CAW to the
  32.  general Pagan scene and similar issues.

  34.         Issues and topics from "Green Egg" have provoked some
  35.  interesting discussions.  Posting of comments is encouraged but
  36.  let us try not to post copyrighted articles.

  38.         Another fertile topic is the relationship of some current
  39.  neopagan practices to other "religions" or practices, for
  40.  example, chakra and vision quests, etc.  Some would say that
  41.  this amounts to the theft of the practices of others, others
  42.  seem to feel that it is more a recognition of the value of the
  43.  "shared whatever".

  46.      B. What isn't appreciated
  47.  
  48.         While no one individual "owns" the newsgroup, controls
  49.  the newsgroup or has any sort of proprietary authority, most
  50.  users don't appreciate bashers, flamers, trashers and cross-
  51.  posters, nor evangelizers regardless of subject or whether CAW
  52.  or other religions or individuals are being beaten about.  IMHO
  53.  cross-posting is an abomination and it is especially
  54.  discouraged.

  56.         Discussions of monotheistic issues, for example, the
  57.  existence of "god" (any and all flavors of monotheistic deity)
  58.  are generally not appreciated, if not downright resented,
  59.  especially those which are cross-posted and prolific.  If I
  60.  were in charge, (and I'm not!) I would outlaw fundo Xtian-
  61.  bashing. It is my personal opinion that I have better things to
  62.  spend time on.

  64.         Please go discuss christianity, islam, judaism, etc.
  65.  somewhere else, say; "talk.religion", Alt.atheism,
  66.  soc.religion.christianity, talk.religion.misc, or ???

  68.      C. How ALT.RELIGION.ALL-WORLDS is different than ALT.PAGAN

  70.         Some, perhaps many things discussed on Alt.Pagan, for
  71.  instance, Gaia, fit just fine on Alt.Religion.All-Worlds.  On
  72.  the other hand, discussions of Wicca specific issues, arguments
  73.  about specifics of ancient traditions for modern use or to
  74.  authenticate current usages or to "validate" a specific
  75.  tradition or group or whose "fam trad" outranks whose, etc.
  76.  will find more takers in Alt.Pagan.
